Dog Day Hikes is a Los Angeles-based dog hiking company serving the neighborhoods of Silverlake, Los Feliz, and Atwater Village. We offer structured pack hikes Monday through Friday, along with a two-hour Saturday morning hike, providing dogs with exercise, socialization, mental stimulation, and real-world enrichment in outdoor environments.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that dogs thrive when they experience clear leadership, purposeful movement, and balanced social interaction. Being part of a pack helps fulfill a dog’s natural instinct for connection, while also building confidence, engagement, and healthier behavior patterns both on and off the trail.

 

In addition to pack hiking, we incorporate foundational training principles into our daily work, including loose leash walking, recall, impulse control, calm socialization, and structured engagement. Every hike is designed to create a safer, more balanced, and more fulfilled dog.

 

Founded in 2012, Dog Day Hikes has continued to evolve through years of hands-on experience working with dogs of varying breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. Tom is currently continuing his education through the Level One Certification program at Method K9, further expanding the company’s focus on communication, structure, and practical real-world training.
